We have described below these elements in detail with some detail of the impact of each feature so that you can see why we are confident in our statements.

PURE CORE
All our cable ranges use solid core cable that is 99% Silver and 1% Gold giving that natural sound without any hint of brittleness.
In research, this performed head and shoulders above the other materials and designs available.

Solid Core vs Multistrand/Litz
Designing the core we match electrical physics with properties that are required by each cable.
Across all our designs, we found that the solid core performed far better in theory and practice. One of the most important charactisics that a cable required was low impedance, inductance and capacitance.
A solid core does not introduce any of the additional impedance or capacitance that is found in woven or wound cores; this happens because when a wire is wound many times there is a negligble difference in inductance, but an audible impedance is introduced as well as an increased capacitance, our Pure Cores are solid cores that do not have multiple twists just a solid quality conductor maintaining the pace, rhythm and timing in the cable.
The RFI/EMI that the woven cables are to protect against is dealt with in a far more practical way in our construction (see construct) and does not outweigh the speed and control of the low impedance and capacitance that a solid core delivers.

Copper vs Silver vs Silver/Gold
The conductivity of silver is much higher than that of copper as the figures in our research section prove. Also the properties of copper degredate as the material oxidises in the air, whereas silver maintains exactly the same conductivity if oxidised or not.
Large cores of copper that are delivered in some cables, to improve the impedance of a cable run are then also subject to internal skin effect. White papers on the skin effect of cables, maintain that the diameter of a core can dramatically effect the signals transmitted along the cable introducing tiny eddies that interfere with the source signal.
With silver cores the diameter can be of an optimum dimension to give neglible impedance and no dicernable skin effect.
Silver cores can deliver a very brittle sound or cold sound, but the introduction of gold as a capacitance film in this unique alloy removes any trace, but keeps the extreme detail found from the silver construct.
Include in this the quality of the silver (typ.99.99% Pure Silver) and gold (typ.99.99% Pure Gold) the material cannot be beaten.

Extra Soft Tempered Material
The extra soft tempered core material is a very important aspect of the core material and dramtically increases the sound stage from your system, allowing transparency and detail that was hidden.
The full-soft tempered wire gives equal resistivity throughout the cross section of the diameter of the cable, allowing all the frequencies to travel unimpeded along the length of the wire and giving an unadulterated signal that delivers the very clean sound stage as each instrument is easily defined, including the space in between.

PURE CONSTRUCT
The materials and construction of the Pure Reference range of cables is an important element of the overall performance of our Reference cable range.
We have a sophisitcated triple level of pure silk that act as dielectric, mechanical dampeners and EMF and RFI shields.

Silk Dielectric
The core of each cable is sleeved in a bespoke silk dielectric that holds the cable equidistant from each other and provides all the benefits of silk as a dielectric.
Teflon and other plastic dielectrics are subject to micro discharges (DTI) between the core conductor and the plastic dielectric, silk is not subject to this giving an uncorrupted and clear signal.
Using silk allows the signal to use the full surface of the wire throughout its whole length, where the detail frequencies are delivered unsuppressed.
As you will see from the Pure Treatment section, we also prime the dielectric removing any redundant static charge within the construct as part of the treatment of the cable before it reaches you.

Revolutionary Shielding
Integrated into the nature of the design of the weave is a pattern that reflects RFI and EMF interference, making these the quietest leads we have come across.
Two of the layers that makeup the structure of the cable are woven at right angles and out of sync with each layer, catching and neutralising the rogue signals.
This is much more effective that using the core to doe this and lose the pace, rhythmn and timing from these very fast cables.

Mechanical Damping
The exclusive use of silk in the construction of this range of cables provides a superb level of mechanical dampening.
In addition to the dielectric and outer sleeving is up to 100m of raw silk strands that support the cores at all times, providing an extraordinary dampening effect.
The range of connectors used in the construction of the range also provide mechanical damping via a carbon fibre body construction that also have the cross weave effect that provides reflection for the RFI and EMF.

PURE DESIGN
It is important to have the best materials if you are designing the best cables.
At Pure Reference, the attention to detail in the design of the geometry using these core materials is an important element of the whole package.
The extensive research and development, we have found the optimum combinations for each type of cable or interconnect.

Balanced Attributes
The most important cable properties are Impedance, Inductance and Capacitance, getting the optimum balance of these three properties in the first instance is the foundation of good cable design.
Through the R&D process we have been pursuing these holy grails in each type of cable. For example, Power and RCA have completely different demands and the important balances in the cable are different; this means that each cable has the correct wire geometry for a particular application that balances the advantage of impedance against inductance and capacitance; only by experimenting with these values and designs did we succeed in producing the fastest cables, with unadulterated detail.
The designs of the triple silk layering, was paramount to ensure that the cables had their low low noise floor, by designing a combination of cross over refelctive weaves and damping layers. These are not only incredibly powerful and fast cables, but have absolute 'black' silence even when played at volume, no hum and no hiss is introduced.

Performance
The resulting range of reference cables delivers your music with perfect pace, rhythmn and timing, with a superb open range of frequencies from top to bottom. This means that you can hear every detail in the music being played as it was intended from the studio or as it happened live.
A pin point accurate sound stage with no mistiming, sometimes found in multistrand design cables, give you the exact replication, so your musicians are simply 'in the room'.
This is what we consider to be truly reference reproduction.

PURE CONNECTION
Using the best materials in the construction of the cables does not stop when coming to the connections that finish the balance of each product.
All of the connectors from power to RCA have the same properties to provide the same extraordinary features and also importantly they work incredibly well together as a range.
All the connectors used in our range have Rhodium plated conductors, with multilayered nonmagnetic stainless steel and carbon fiber housing incorporates a special damping insulating acetal copolymer.

Breakthrough Design
The body of each connnector combines two “active” materials: Nano-sized ceramic particles and powdered carbon. (Only nano-sized ceramic particles effectively couples with carbon powder.) Nylon and fiberglass are incorporated as well forming an extremely effective, well damped, mechanically and electrically nonresonant connector body. That’s correct, they’re electrically damped as well.
The range's breakthrough in design and materials is based on employing nano-sized polycrystalline ferroelectric ceramic particles exhibiting electro-generative properties; mechanical pressure creates an electrical charge forming a bridge between electrical and mechanical oscillation.
Carbon powder exhibits thermal-conductive characteristics that interact with the charged ferro-ceramic particles converting their energy into heat that’s conducted away and released from the surface of the connector body!
These carefully chosen and tested “active” materials mechanically and electrically damp the connector as they “interconvert” thermal, mechanical, and electrical energy for the finest Pure Transmission signal imaginable.

Earth/Ground Jumper System
The research and development for this range of connectors concentrated examination of each and every element of signal transfer, resulted in another breakthrough technology, the Earth/Ground Jumper System. It eliminates EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) induced in metal parts like connector housing screws.

Floating Magenetic Fields
Current flowing through the power connector creates a magnetic field, just as an insulated conductor creates both electromagnetic and electrostatic fields. The engineers found this magnetic field induces current flow (and a small magnetic field) in the screws holding the connector together! These magnetic fields interfere with the larger magnetic field around the conductor and connector.
The total attention to detail and elegant engineering neatly solves the problem. The Earth/Ground Jumper System connects the securing screws to a ground terminal within the plug completely eliminating the field disturbances they cause. The stray fields are grounded by a series of interlocking parts within the connector that attach to the ground conductor.

Patent pending metal cable clamp improves grip and reduces mechanically and electrically induced distortion plus patent-pending specially engineered pressure plate.

PURE TREATMENT
All Pure Products are subject to selective patterns of treatment, dependant on the application and the specific connections. This provides the best treatment for each cable application getting the most from the quality materials used in the construct and design.

Selective Deep Cryo and Demagnetization
Cryogenic treatment is generally applied to the finished products, which comprises of both metal parts and non-metal parts, including plastic materials such as PVC covering materials, PP/PE insulation materials.
These plastic materials may deteriorate and causes undesirable, safety-related effects under lower temperature (especially, the power supply related parts.).
Thus, it is unable to assure the best quality as well as to precisely control the temperature and the time.
By contrast, our chosen treatment employs the latest technology and materials and successfully develops the leading-edge cryogenic treatment equipments that allow us to precisely control both the time and the temperature and that only applies the process to metal parts only (e.g. the electrodes of power supply, plug, etc., and the conductive parts of cables).
In addition, it employs expensive refrigerants (Liquid N2 or He) which can easily reach the real extreme low temperature (- 196° or - 250°) so as to change the molecule structures.
As to the demagnetization treatment, instead of using the ordinary super magnet method that increases rather than decreases the magnetization effects and thus causes counter-effects, it employs Rope Demagnetization by attenuation method that can thoroughly eliminate magnetization and provides the positive effects.
Having been through the cryogenic treatment, the molecules of the metal parts become much closer together and the arrangement of molecules becomes even tighter, making the overall structure more stable.
This advances the electric conductivity, speeds up the transmission of signals and provides much greater sense of power. As to magnetization occurred during the fabrication process this can be thoroughly demagnetized by demagnetization devices, producing perfect conductivity of the materials used.

Spiral Conditioning
It is critical to not only concentrate on the conductor, but also the dielectric. Ideally, cable conditioning needs to force electrons into all areas of the cable; this is something that simply playing music through an audio system can never achieve.
Our cable conditioning does more than simply synthesise music; using specially-developed technology, the process generates a sequence of unique ultra-low frequencies to penetrate the core of the conductor, and ultra-high frequencies that penetrate both the conductor and the dielectric.
Conventional methods do not condition the dielectric of a cable, yet this is an extremely important element. A high-frequency, high-energy force is pushed along the conductor surface in a corkscrew fashion between the conductor and into the dielectric; the stray electrons and negative charges are then forced to normalise along the whole length of the cable construction.
This patent-pending technique fully prepares cables for audio or video use in a way that no amount of music ever can. To put this into context, the conditioning produces 10,000 times the upper frequency limit of a typical CD player, which fully prepares and conditions your cable.
